A week’s holiday in Benidorm suits anyone. 7 days are enough to break your routine and disconnect, discover many of the corners of the town and rest enough to recharge your batteries. Have you decided your holiday dates? Have you booked your apartment in Benidorm? Keep reading to find out what you can do in Benidorm for a week and prepare your body and mind for your next holidays.
Day 1
Levante beach and Benidorm old town
The first day of your holidays in Benidorm we would recommend you get up early, prepare a good breakfast and enjoy the seaview from your apartment balcony, the sea where you will take a dip later in the day. On your first day you must discover Benidorms beaches, only 7-8 minutes distance separates the apartments from the sand. On the Levante beach you can find multiple activities to do, the main attraction being the Water Ski platform.
After a day at the beach, a shower and a rest, we suggest you take a walk to the center of Benidorm and stroll through its old town. Not to be missed: The Benidorm Castle, the St James and St Annes church, the harbour, Alameda Street, Martínez Alejos, Gambo, and the ‘Paseo de la Carretera’. For dinner, our recommendation is the Basque Country Area, ‘tapas alley’ to enjoy some tapas and pintxos.
Day 2
Poniente Beach and Rincón de Loix
Why not repeat the same morning plan as yesterday? But this time, take the opportunity to discover another of Benidorm’s beaches: Poniente. Quieter, more for families and with plenty of attractions, from a beach library to goalposts and nets to practice different sports. You can eat on the beach, as many do, or go to one of the many restaurants and bars that you can find nearby, our recommendation would be to eat near the harbour.
In the afternoon, you can take a walk to another area of Benidorm: the Rincon de Loix. The Avenida Mediterráneo, Avenida Ametlla de Mar, Severo Ochoa, Levante seafront … They are all full of shops, bars, pubs, restaurants, ice cream stands and other attractions.
Day 3
Water Park in Benidorm
For the third day of your holiday in Benidorm we suggest you take a break from the beach, but still stay cool and carry on working on your tan. Our recommendation is to spend the day in Aqualandia or Aqua Natura. They are the two water parks in Benidorm, both prepared to entertain you throughout a whole day, especially if you are on a family holiday.
To end the day, if you still have strength, we suggest you to enjoy one of the best views of Benidorm. You will find it from the viewpoint of The Cross, at the top of the of Serra Gelada. The views will be especially beautiful if you time it right and see the sunset.
Day 4
The Cala of Benidorm
One of the less populated and less visited areas of Benidorm, but equally attractive, is La Cala of Benidorm. A portion of Poniente beach located on one of the wider areas of the beach. We would also encourage you to try the La Cala of Finestrat beach. Although it belongs to another municipality, it is a few minutes’ walk and there are plenty of bars and shops in the surroundings, we would recommend the seafood and paellas of Casa Modesto.
Before leaving, you could go up to the Tossal of La Cala. If you managed yesterday to contemplate the Benidorm skyline from the Cross, from this point you can enjoy the view from the opposite end. And a perfect way to end this day could be by taking a walk along the Poniente seafront until you reach the Parque de Elche.(Dove Park)
Day 5
Theme Parks in Benidorm
Did you enjoy Aqualandia or Terra Natura? If thats a yes, today is your lucky day as we suggest a plan full of adrenalin and excitement! Terra Mitica combines all the ingredients for a fun day for people of all ages. If you get there first thing in the morning you will have time to go on all the rides, see the shows and activities.
After a shower and rest make the most of the cool Benidorm nights to take a walk, have a meal and a drink before bedtime.
Day 6
Benidorm coves and bike routes
In addition to the main beaches, Benidorm hides 2 treasures at the foot of Serra Gelada: Cala del Tío Ximo and Cala Almadrava. We recommend that, if you go to this part of Serra Gelada, make the most of your visit to have a swim in the two coves. Do take into account to take rubber footwear for water, because both the shore and the seafloor are rocky. And another tip: neither beach has a beach bar, so people usually take a picnic.
In the afternoon, if you would like to see Benidorm in a different way, we recommend one of the electric bike routes with TAO Bike. One of its most famous is the “Bicitapas”, where you can visit the town while you enjoy its gastronomy
Day 7
Say goodbye to Benidorm
The last day of your holiday in Benidorm we think you should save to revisit the beach that you have liked best, return to that shop that you found and that you liked so much, go back and have another delicious ice cream… In short, You can say goodbye to Benidorm as you like and return to enjoy the best moments of your holiday. However, if you want to do something different, we suggest you visit some of the surrounding villages. Altea is, without a doubt, our preferred option.
