Easter week in Benidorm
This year Easter Week falls in mid-April, a perfect time to take the few days’ rest that we deserve, that we have been waiting for since the Christmas holidays.
Falling at an ideal time of the year to enjoy the beach, walks, terraces and the atmosphere of the town is more than assured be amazing. Of all the days, the most awaited by the Benidorm locals of Easter Week is Easter Sunday, or Resurrection Sunday. It is the day in which family and friends take the opportunity to get together and go out to the countryside or take a walk and eat the traditional Easter cake, a delicious bun made with flour, egg and sugar and baked in the oven, embedded with a hardboiled egg. The cake is usually accompanied by a good cup of hot chocolate and, after eating it, tradition dictates that you have to open the egg by smashing it on someone’s forehead.
The weather in Benidorm in April
What weather is to be expected in Benidorm in April? Temperatures have already begun to rise and the estimated average is 20ºC. And we say the average because, when the sun is out and starts to shine, you can be surprised with temperatures of up to 25º.
What does this mean? April is the month in which the most daring take their first dip of the year! Of course there is the possibility of sunbathing and if it coincides with one of those days that the sun is shining strong, we assure you that you will also fancy a swim! So, we hope that this year will happen like many others and that you can, if you feel like it, have the privilege of being the first to try out the sea on the Benidorm beaches this year.
Benidorm Culture
This April, Benidorm also has its cultural side to offer. Especially when it comes to the seventh art. This month the cinema takes over the town with the third edition of the Skyline Benidorm Film Festival. During the 4th, 5th and 6th the finalist shorts will be screened in a hall of the town hall. On the other hand, at the Boca del Calvari Museum you can visit the Cinematographic Costumes exhibition from ‘La sombra de la ley’ film, by Clara Bilbao, Goya winner for Best Costume Design.
On 23rd April, to celebrate Book Day, the Hort de Colón will be the place to be to enjoy activities with the family.

The Benidorm Elvis Party
IAnother year on, the Elvis Fiesta returns to Benidorm. If you are a fan of the rock and roll king Elvis Presley, on April 7th you have an obligatory appointment at the Benidorm Palace.
