If you have contemplated other panoramic views of the town, you will understand that this affirmation is risky with the variety of towers of colours and impossible shapes. But it’s like this. A spectacular tower lying on its side in the sun, seeming to be challenging the rest of the vertical constructions that make up the town. Do you want to discover the history of this building? Keep reading!

Where is the Benidorm council?

The town hall is built on an old ravine. The site was chosen to respect the history of the town. Because when it began to convert itself into what it is today, it ran into to a big problem: the only public open spaces were the beaches. So the L’AigĂŒera ravine was transformed into a park to connect the new part of the town with the old part.

The Benidorm Town Hall

And as if it was needed to cross the river, the Benidorm Town Hall lies on two structures as would a bridge. The structure permits that the space below can be used as a square, free space where events can be celebrated, with a great shady area thanks to its roof, the under part of the building. A meeting place for citizens right underneath the building that represents them.

One of the curiosities of the town hall and for which its architects won the votes of Benidorm locals is that on one of the faces of the building, the front face, is covered with glass slats in which the names of the 65,000 residents registered in the city at the time of its construction are written.

If you have got used to walking between towers and towers of over 20 floors high, we can assure you that when you see this building lying down on front of you, you will be very surprised.
