How to get to Benidorm ?


Benidorm is located in the Valencian Community, in the province of Alicante and, exactly, 38 km north of Alicante city and 106 km south of Valencia city.

Car

The N-332 road and the AP-7 motorway are the two options to access Benidorm. The toll exits on the AP-7 are the Poniente-Terra Mítica (65 A) or the Levante (65).

Bus

Benidorm bus station is situated on the Levante entrance to Benidorm, connected to more than 20 Spanish cities (such as Alicante, Valencia, Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Malaga) and international cities (such as Zurich, Genova, Paris ...).

Benidorm also has urban buses that connect the city with nearby towns such as Altea, Guadalest, La Nucia, Finestrat or Villajoyosa.

Train

Benidorm train station only offers service for short distances. For longer distances the closest station is in Alicante center, the Alacant-Terminal. There are various options to get to Alicante You can take a taxi, (approx  €60 ), rent a car, or take the tram (from the train station 4€) or bus from the bus station (€5)

Plane

The nearest airport to Benidorm is the Alicante-Elche airport. To get to Benidorm from the airport, you have different options. You can go by taxi, comfortable and easy but more expensive option if theres only one or two of you, with an approximate price of 75 euros. You could also rent a car, or another convenient option is to take a bus, the Alsa company offers a bus route for 10 € euros per trip, there is a bus every 30 minutes - 1 hour and they arrive and depart from Benidorm on Avenida Europa.

What temperatures to expect in Benidorm ?


Its mild Mediterranean climate makes Benidorm an enjoyable microclimate, with little rain throughout the year and an average temperature of 18.2ºC.

Winter , in January, its coldest month, unlike the rest of the country, the days are sunny with an average temperature of 11.2ºC. The summer days are warmer with average temperatures of 26.50ºC, the sea breeze makes it easier to take the heat.

What areas is Benidorm divided into ?


Benidorm is divided into three parts, Levante, Center and Poniente.

PONIENTE

This is most residential area (with private homes) and less tourists. on its wide streets and avenues you can find some of the most important parts of the town like the Train Station (top area), Market (Foyetes area) and of course the Poniente beach promenade which was completely redesigned a few years ago. We can also include La Cala, maybe the least touristic due to its distance from the center but is equally beautiful.

LEVANTE

The Levante area is the main tourist area, especially international tourists, there are many wide busy streets where most of the main hotels and touristic apartments are based. The more residential area is Sierra Helada. On the Levante you also can find the Rincon de Loix frequented by most international tourists thanks to its many bars and restaurants. Not to forget Aqualandia, waterpark and Mundomar animal park.

OLD TOWN CENTER

In the center you can find the old town of Benidorm, a laberinth that thanks to its narrow cobbled streets takes us back in time. Busy streets full of shops, locals and bars. This area offers the main attractions of the town, like the church, Castle and its balcony where you can observe beautiful panorama's of both beaches.
